Like many South Asian couples, we once dreamed of celebrating our own wedding somewhere extraordinary. Our vision was the Bahamas: pristine beaches, breathtaking views, and a celebration that felt as magical as the love we were honoring. But 20 years ago, destination weddings—especially for culturally rich, multi-day South Asian celebrations—came with limited resources, little guidance, and even fewer advocates who truly understood what we needed.
Although our local wedding was beautiful, the dream of a destination celebration never faded.
That dream quietly shaped everything that followed.
